So last night I reveled in my geekness and watch the 20th anniversary edition of TRON. Mostly I laughed at the effects and computer speak of 20 years ago.
However, for it's time, it was pretty well on the cutting edge.
What got me thinking the most was how much different things will be in another 20 years. Will Frodo & co. be just as silly looking to us and feeble in their special effects?

That special edition TRON was the first DVD we ever bought. I guess that reveals our geekiness. I am amazed at just how hard it was to do what they did. There were no 3-d animation software programs out there. They had to do everything the hard way. They were totally ahead of their time. I was very impressed.

But I gotta say that I never could stand the arcade game, with that cheesy, translucent blue joystick.
