What were to happen to you, were Hatrack's server to suddenly catch fire, burn down and consequently this website would rest in peace?
Think about it... People say that you should grip on, hold on tightly to something; but if you hold on too tight, will you suffer greatly once that firm seat of yours starts rocking, or vanishes?

And suppose you didn't have all of the important Hatrackers' IMs, IRCs, e-mails etc. - contact would've been lost forever (statistically).

I might live off of the QBnews programming forums for a little bit...
And then we'd all probably head over to someone else's forums (GreNME, sakeriver.. if I'm spelling those right)
Seriously, though-- I think that the only way to cut off all contact between all hatrackers is tear down the entire internet, as well as all phone lines At which point, I will have to eat fried cockroach like Annie.
on a completely unrelated note, hobbes, can you come to my office and help with this demo video we're making?
