Ophelia, the thing to do in that situation is to find something that you get as engrossed in, and then do it whenever he's not playing any games. Especially at dinner time. This worked REALLY well on my boyfriend. Eventually he got so pouty that I wasnt paying attention to him when he wasnt playing games that he complained about it. Which, of coourse, just opens the path to a discussion about how much it sucks to be ignored, and how wrong it is to treat your partner that way, heavily laced with sarcasm.

I know what you mean though. There are few things more annoying than having to compete with characters on a screen to get some lovin'. And, honestly, the best way to remedy that is to straight out tell him how you feel. That it's disrespectful on his part to put your needs so low on his list, and it's just not acceptable. When it came right down to it, my boyfriend just needed to know I felt that way, and he started regulated his time so he played while I was busy doing other things. And then he could spend more time with me, doing more interesting things .
