This was prompted by the "books that made you cry" thread. The book is by William Horwood, "The Boy With No Shoes", 'fictionalised' memoir. It's wonderfully moving, in both sad and uplifting ways. Horwood writes beautifully, and touches your heart in very real ways without manipulating you. His writing has the quality of poetry at times, and flows. I'm 3/4 of the way through it and really don't want it to end. amazon.co.ukPosts: 867 | Registered: Dec 2003
