Sometimes my brain comes up with entirely random images. Sometimes I describe them out loud to entertain my roommates.

Right now? A moose with twelve antlers, machine guns for legs, arms made of wood, spaghetti for teeth, stomach tattoos that are of "Dubya's" face, punching some guy in the face, and the fact that they are flying through walls at a rate of 50,000 m/h. Aside from that? Nothing.

You may say I'm a dreamer, but really, I'm not the only one. I hope someday you'll join us. Cause then.... and only then, the world can be as one.

Most of the time, I imagine the musicians playing the music in a small, intimate venue, and me sitting there enjoying it.

I heard "imagine" by John Lenon, and i am dreaming of a deep blue eyes which look at me. I am dreaming of a sunny and sweet wmile just for me. I am dreaming of an agreable sensation of a nice hand on the mine, which rotate on the mine for a move during a rock dance. I am dreaming of a possibly futur.
That what i am dreaming now. Posts: 1189 | Registered: Dec 2004

I'm listening to Elton John, and seeing in my mind a mix of New York City streets with lots of people, a fire in a field, a harbour with a single sailboat, and I just got home from dance so I also still see my dancing feet going over their steps (which I shouldn't ever have been looking down at anyway). Very strange, these are all separate scenes but simultaneous.
Oh, and also, there's now a flamingo flying through thanks to Annie.
But now by the time I finished typing this out it's all changed again!!

i'm imagining a universe where empires stretch from star to star and dead rulers have asteroids as their mounuments, sort of like the Egyptian pyramids.

Any music? My photography teacher sometimes had us do this activity to try to generate project ideas, or at least to get our imaginations going. She would play us an instrumental song twice. The first time, we just put our heads down, and closed our eyes, and imagined things to the music. The second time, we wrote down what we imagined. Anything you imagined. It could be a story, or flashes of images, or whatever the music made you think of. Mine were always stories, even if they didn't make sense. I loved that activity.

I think A Perfect Circle's cover of Imagine captures the state of the world much more accurately than the original Beatles version.

For me it's always some expression of some emotional state with no images. If there ever is an image it picturing what the musicians look like as they are playing the instruments.

Papa- I'm sorry. I meant that other moose. The one living in my house. It ate my muffins this morning.
Imagination says, " Ugly, little gnomes baking cookies that are poisoned in an attempt to take over the world. And then they team up with Wal-Mart and make their own evil corporation planet."
