I've bought the Dragon Army bookplate (when do you sign all of those?) and I must say, I'm very excited to have your autograph. It's stuck inside of the very first book of yours I ever read. Snatched a class copy in 9th grade, we didnt even read it! It had to be mine. (Do I have to say what it was? [Dont Know] )

What was I going to ask?

Do you have plans to come to South Carolina, or a more southern part of NC, gas is... [Grumble] yea. I'd love to get a book or two personalized.

We list all my signings, as soon as we know the schedule ourselves, here on Hatrack. I've got no plans for anything in SC or even in Charlottesville. My publisher rarely sends me to Southern states - I don't know why. I've heard that book-learning has made it to places all over the South.

Where in SC are you?

Columbia, SC.

It's so hard to find older books of yours in Hardback. I shop around all the time, and stores only carry the paperbacks. What is the world coming to? I've been able to get a few, like A Planet Called Treason from ebay and half.com, and the rest from other used bookstores.

I really enjoyed SotG. I think it was a great idea to show the first 3 chapters online, but I could never bring myself to read them. Just had to own it first...

I love what you did with the Bean series. I never saw anything coming from his character in EG.

It's terrific that you take time to read/answer posts from here.

Hey, Sym. I'm a Clemson kid, myself, eagerly wishing he'd come here, as well. Keep up hope for those older hardbacks, I got Lost Boys in hardcover, AND first edition, at a local used bookstore for about $2.50. They're out there, just keep holding out hope.

Come now, Frangy. I've been to Spain twice - Barcelona both times (and Mataro, but that's also in Catalonia). Where were YOU? <grin>

Lost Boys only had one printing in hardcover, so first edition, first printing is the only one you can get.

Sorry sir, I starts to read you 3 years ago (I began a bit late, but I was 11 years old and your books are not exactly for children...) And initially I was only looking to read more books, not know you in person...

Mr. Card FL has made great strides in literacy (so I've heard.) so you should def. come to Daytona Beach. Tell your publisher to schedule you here before we get hit with 4 hurricanes again....

I refuse to fly into the Detroit airport any more, and nobody wants me to do signings in West Lansing or Kalamazoo.

Frangy, do I gather (using my arithmetic skills) that you are FOURTEEN YEARS OLD? (sorry for shouting)

And that a fourteen-year-old Spaniard writes in English as well as you do?

And here I was proud of how well I spoke and wrote Spanish when I was fourteen. Compared to you, I was a monoglot.
