I hate Romance novels. I don't know why. Maybe it was because the other girls always did book reports on them, and I enjoyed mocking them (I was smart AND fugly).

Aaaanyway... this site had me laughing so hard I had to share it.

Now we all know not to judge a book by its cover. Even our esteemed Host has had a few OMG what IS that? covers. So I mean no offense to any particular genre by posting this.

Actually, I thought our resident Photoshop gurus might even do better. Here goes!

I actually enjoy romance novels (well, certain types) -- but yes, the covers are generally fairly awful.

Those were hysterical! [ROFL]

Whenever I think about bad romance novel covers, I can't help but think of this.

Too bad OSC has little control over cover content. I'm pretty sure this wasn't what he had in mind when he penned the story.

Oh, and Olivia, I can't imagine you ever having been ugly. Get over yourself, or I'll have to embarass you telling you how beautiful you are. [Razz]

I really liked the ones where the new title made a crazy picture even funnier. My faves included:

Merfarts, For the love of Scottie McMullet, Under the Houseboat Fire, and Kangaroo Voyeur.

Made me snort my cherry coke.

Yeah, those were all particularly good ones. I liked "Robbing the Cradle" too.

There is also a section of ones that people have sent in, which may be where I saw the one, "That Ugly Sweater You Bought Me" (or some such). It was the picture that made it funny, though.
