I just found out that two poems I submitted to the university literary magazine were accepted for publication. To top it off, one placed first in the poetry category earning me $100 (which is alot of money for a college student living off pb sandwiches.)

And I hate poetry. I only submitted because it was required for a Creative Writing class and none of my short fiction was finished.

I should find something else I hate and see if I can get paid to do it.

I wish I could be lucky enough to be good at things I actually enjoy.

Congratulations on winning the contest!

I don't think luck has much to do with being good at things you enjoy. I think a lot of hard work and persistence makes you good at what you enjoy. [Smile]
