It's Coke Vanilla now, not Vanilla Coke. But yes I'm entirely thrilled and have bought way too much as a stockpile in case they use it as a summer only product. The one I want to see is Holiday Spice Pepsi from 04 and 06 (though I only got one twelve pack then). That was yummy spicy pepsi!

Holiday Spice Pepsi? Hmmm, clearly I wasn't paying enough attention to the soda aisles in the store at that time.
That reminds me of way back when they went through that "clear cola" fad. Crystal Pepsi was gross, but they made a clear Tab that tasted like a cinnamon soda. I loved it! I'll have to keep an eye out for this holiday spice one.

I adore Coke Vanilla, or whatever it's called now. I lived off the diet version for about a year, and am thrilled to see it again in stores. Huzzah!

Megan, I had Holiday Spice Pepsi at the campout, I think stryker poured rum in it and was a very happy person. But that might have been on Friday night, before you were there.

Holiday Spice Pepsi was out in '06? I've been looking for it every year since the '04, but I must've missed it. I hope they bring it back again, because I really liked it.

Breyer, it's entirely possible. I also made myself scarce once the drinking started up when I was there, so...*shrug* I'll have to see if I can track it down this Christmas.

That's what I read on wikipedia and I did get a case but never read the experation dates, so honestly knowing what store it was from, it could have been an 04 case.

I had some Coke Vanilla recently. It made me think I had imagined the disappearance of Vanilla Coke. It's good to know I hadn't.

I absolutely loved Vanilla Coke back in 2003. I'd drink it at work all the time.
I don't drink soft-drinks anymore, and while I am generally pretty happy about that choice, this thread does make me a little bit nostalgic for that Vanilla Coke taste.

I used to be addicted to M&Ms and Vanilla Coke. Back in marching band, that's what I got in my goodie bags that we made within our sections. It was what I got as an anniversary gift from my boyfriend, As a Christmas gift from friends, all that. The combination of the two is just... YUM.
I miss Pepsi Blue. Anyone else like this?

1. I love vanilla Coke. 2. I hate how soft drink companies spam us with these seasonal flavor changes.

I completely forgot what it tastes like. I haven't had one since I discovered A&W cream soda. I should have one for old times sake, though :-P

Vanilla Coke is one of the reasons I enjoy eating at Rubio's Mexican restaurant. They have good fish tacos too.

$1 Fish Taco Tuesdays! And Vanilla Coke on tap. Yeah, that was a post-evening class tradition.

Sorry, Vanilla Coke is the one flavor of the stuff I've tried that I've never been able to stand. I don't know why. I like Coke, and I like cream soda, and the flavor of vanilla; it really seems like this *ought* to work, but for me, it doesn't.

I never even noticed that it was gone, but then I don't drink much soda anymore. The one that I really miss is Josta. That soda will be forever elevated in my mind as the perfection of all sodas.

Ever since vanilla coke was introduced in Australia, it's been available in an uninterrupted supply.
But we don't get many of the other flavour colas the US does, let alone the seasonal ones, so I guess it all balances out!

I don't drink much soda anymore either, so I too never noticed it was gone. However, that was one of the things I drank in my last couple weeks of pregnancy to try to "help things along", so I will always have fond memories of it.

I have seen vanilla Coke, but not vanilla Diet Coke. Is that back, too, and I am not finding it?

Personally I miss Dandelion & Burdock, but then I'm from the Shire.
Wow, I'm flattered.
I am not strongly emotionally attached either way to vanilla Coke (or Coke Vanilla, or whatever.) I so rarely drink it that I didn't even notice it was gone. How long was that? I'll drink it when it's there and nothing else that I can stand is, but honestly I would usually choose something else. It tastes like Coke mixed with a bit of cream soda flavor to me. I much prefer Caffeine-Free Diet Coke, which has a different taste from regular Diet Coke, I will maintain until I die, if I am drinking Coke.
But usually I go for something else entirely, although I am not morally opposed to Coke or anything, and I don't hate the taste like my husband does.

One of my friend's dad had an old bottle of it in their basement. It was years old. And still unopened. I really wanted to drink it.

Caffiene-free diet coke. We call that Pregnant Lady Cola in our house...
When we were expecting the Toddling Tornado it was delivered to our house by tanker. Along with lorry loads of "gusanitos". But that's another story.

I prefer Cherry Coke though. And Vanilla Dr. Pepper is pretty good too.
However, my favorite drink is Mountain Dew Code Red. I hate that most restaurants have quit serving it. And I got so mad at myself last weekend. I was at wallyworld buying a few things while I was at my mother's house in Little Rock. I got excited because I saw a 12 pack (they don't usually have it) so I snapped it up. Then when I got home it turned out to be DIET Code Red. I freakin' hate the taste of anything DIET related. I was so excited by the words "Code Red" I didn't notice the "diet". *slaps head*
