Ok, my crit group will get to this on my round, but they have read the first book, and I need to know if this first chapter stands alone as an intro, and draw into the second book. Since they read the first book they may "understand" something when it is clear as tar.
Any takers on reading, a first draft, 2,600 word chapter?
