I have a comedic one act play (absurdist comedy almost, with a fantasy element) that I think could sell if I only knew where to send it.

Does anyone know of any magazines that publish drama, or any small theater groups in the northern new jersey area that might buy one act plays for performance? Most magazines only publish prose or poetry, as far as I've found.

Help?

I once wrote a series of comedy plays. A writer friend of mine told me that they were good, but pointed out that plays are particularly difficult to sell. Generally, acting groups have no shortage of scripts.

Fortunately for me, I did not write those plays with the intention of selling them.

I wish I had something more helpful.
