Greetings all. My real name is James P. Taber, speaking (read: typing) to you from Amherst in Massachusetts.
After perusing this greeting forum, I've realized I'm slightly... under the bar for age. Not as wisened as many of you, I'm only eighteen years old but have been writing for a long time. My entire family writes (though no one publishes; I hope to change that), so it seems to be only the most natural course to follow.
I'll try to avoid a full-blown biography. I've written several short stories, a few under the tutelage of Jason Soslow in the form of a Virtual High School course, and only one of which was published (in that class anthology, so it hardly counts). If you're curious about my stories I invite you to check out my homepage link in my profile, which will lead you to my FictionPress account.
Currently I'm working on one short story (currently in its second draft) and two novels (I suffer from Writers' ADD; I can't just concentrate all my effort on one story and must divide my attention across several projects at once). My chosen genre is science-fiction.
If I offer feedback, please excuse any delay on my part; being a full-time college student, I've found what time I used to have for writing to be significantly encroached upon by classes and the like.
Well, that's all! I hope I manage to be an active contributing member to the community.
