My husband and I are English teachers in South Korea. We've lived here almost a year now. I've been writing forever, have a short story and a couple of poems published, and I'm looking forward to learning from you all here!
Thanks, tempest, for welcoming in our newest member. Hi, glad you made it up and into our magical treehouse. As you can see, we have some pretty nice folks around here. I'm surprise that tempest has time to come to the door. She spends most of her time out on the deck, but I have to admit that it's peaceful back there and gives you time to contemplate on your writing or just visit with fellow members.
It's about lunch time. You can join me in the kitchen, if you like and see what we can whip up. Did you find your room okay upstairs? I'm planning to check the observatory after lunch in the space station. That's that door over there.
I'm about an hour from Seoul by train, in Daejeon, which is nice because I can go to Seoul for Quiznos and Cold Stone Creamery, but I don't have to live in a metroplex of 23 million people. It's nice to go back to my little 1.5 million hamlet at the end of a weekend.
Not Korean, though that would be easier. People love to gawk at whitey around here!
