I just registered today and am looking forward to getting to know this community. I am retired and live in rural Kentucky, and just recently enrolled in the Master of Fine Arts Program, Creative Writing at Eastern Kentucky University. I am very new to writing fiction but am giving it a serious go.

I see you've been greeted by the treehouse people already. Allow me to extend a greeting from the goodsolidearth tribe as well. We be on the other side of the river so we don't worry about those pesky unicorns. Sit by our firepit and have a pint.

So welcome to Ye Olde Treehouse. A very nice place to learn the craft of writing and some of the business of writing too.
After you finish ya pint come ye decide to explore the treehouse do be careful: Rooms move, ye might run into a lassie with purple and white hair- tends to not take fools lightly she does-, and then there is that unicorn-that lassie can be cranky so be ye careful.
And hiding on the other side of the river won't protect ye, unicorns can go wherever they want. It says so in my latest story.
