I've been around Hatrack River for a long time, but mostly, however, on Ornery. (Some of you may know me as CPerry or CP.)
I've just started hanging around here to see how this place would work as a writing workshop, and I am so glad to have found you. I've finally started working on a young adult novel (yes. sorry -- i teach high school!) and know that I need readers to help me FINISH (finally!) a project.
So, beyond the immediate, I am 47. Have taught or worked in education, as a secondary teacher of English/language arts and as an administrator, for a quarter of a century. Raised in rural north Florida, lived in northern Virginia for two decades, and now back in Florida, although much closer to the Gulf Coast.
Mother of two kids adopted from Russia (now 25 and 26) and one kid adopted later on (now 7). Oh, and of 3 small black dogs who think they own me. Wife of the coolest guy I know. Blessed in more ways than I can count!

And as I'm sure you know this is a good place to learn about the craft.
I'm afraid you have to be a bit old fashion here, if you like a comment you have to type it out. And as you explore do be careful if you see a unicorn, no like buttons for her she can be mean at times.
