Hello, all, my name is Kayla and I'm a book-oholic! Seriously, I am an avid reader of fantasy, mostly Urban Fantasy, and, to my great shame, I've come to be an addict of the Romance genre. I saw shame because I swore I'd never read that stuff. And now, I'm giving serious consideration to writing one. Go figure.
My primary goal, however, is to get my pet project off the ground. I have written two full stories in an Urban Fantasy series, *By Tooth and Claw* and *With Strength and Steel*. I do currently have them posted on a free literary site but, despite offering editorial services, the site hasn't provided much assistance. So I took to Google with the intention of finding a group of people that might be willing to help and and that I could help in return. I think I found it!
I am so glad that a group like Hatrack exists and I hope to find a place among you great people!

As a UF reader and writer myself--my muse seems to be stuck on that genre for some reason--those two titles sound interesting.
We are a friendly bunch who do not mind sharing what we do know.
However as you cruise around the treehouse do be careful, there's this here unicorn and she can be a mean filly at times.
Oh, I also do Space Opera-fantasy-SF. In fact a couple of my latest stories are more straight SF than many of my pervious stories. And I've done steampunk, western, strange western, what I call Gen fic-romance. That last one is mostly short mini stories. But for the two years or so at least half of my stories are UF. That includes three novels, and two I am working on. If I ever can make myself stop doing my short stories I will revise them and e-pub them.

Welcome Silver . . . Don't feel too guilty about the romance thing. It's like going to the dark-side! I wrote my sci fi 2 book novels and at the end nearly cried when I realized I'm writing a romance. But that said, I actually wrote a romance as a practice in brevity (about a time Lord and a physical therapist - my revenge on all the PTs I've had to work with)and have another almost finished. The romance market is reportedly more open to new authors than many other markets, so I figure it could be a way to get my foot in the door to the paper back world. Good luck my dear.
