Desire of my heart #7: Publish my trilogy and sell millions of copies.
My excuse for writing: I want to influence people for good, not just entertain them. I'm concerned about this wordly world, and I want to inspire good values in youth and young adults.
I used to also be motivated by making a modest return in USD, but after reading "Visions of Glory" now I doubt that money will be useful very much longer. So I'm restricted to just selfless motives now.
I'm not an expert (at anything), but my brain functions about as well as most mortals, so as another warm body I hope to be useful to y'all.

Hi Christian! I am member 10042, one before you. =) I've got to say though, you lucked out on the better number.
What are the Desires of you Heart #1-6? Haha, you don't have to tell us. We'll just psychoanalyze your posts until you do.
Welcome to Hatrack. There are a lot of things in this treehouse, but I'll let the others tell you about them. Rest assured that you are in good company.

This here is a right friendly place with a people who know a thing or three about writing and couple things about life.
I hope this next comes across in the right tone, it might sound like I'm complaining or being cynical--it's neither.
But as you write to inspire good morals don't let it over take the story. Too much overt preaching(Of whatever type) can turn people off and ruin a good tale.
And as you wonder around the treehouse do be careful. There's a unicorn that can be might on the mean side at times.
Evidently there are a couple who wonder what this unicorn stands for but I ain't saying. It's not a person.
