Although an unpublished romance writer, I have published reviews and proposals within my academic field of interest. I am a member of the Romance Writers of America with affiliations in the New York, New Jersey, Texas and Los Angeles offices. I hold a B.A. in history, religion and classics from the University of Southern California, a couple of Masters in English and Film and have completed some doctoral work in Mythology and Women‘s Spirituality. I am, basically, looking for a market for my creative “voice” and have many concept ideas and series in mind that seem to fit your categories, all centered around my research.
This is a bit old. I also have projects that are outside of the typical romance genre. For instance I am working a YA science fiction novel that takes a look at alternative history and parallel worlds. I am hoping to use this forum and critique group for that purpose. The title is Mother of Exiles and I look forward to sharing it.

Hi, sophia channelly, welcome to the rack of the river for hats. Does a river's alluvial plain resemble a hatrack? Its sources too. Which are the tree's roots and which the branches?
I've studied "mythology" as part of folkloristics study. "Myth" in folkloristics terms is a sacred belief. As well, I've studied woman's arts generally.
My professor colleagues generally are readers who have expert interpretation skills. They note a writer's craft skills are challenging to develop and apply. Two different approaches to the material, one a creator, one a receiver, I believe both approaches synergistically benefit a writer. I wish you best outcomes in your creative endeavors.
