I haven't read a good one in a while becaue this year has been great for fantasy, and I would appreciate any help I can get.

I really enjoyed Spin, by Robert Charles Wilson. I had a few writer's gripes about the way he structured the story, but it was a good read nonetheless.

I second Robert Charles Wilson, and Robert J Sawyer is another great author. Flashforward and Calculating God are my favorites.

I'm quite fond of Kay Kenyon. Pretty much anything she's written, but Tropic of Creation is outstanding.
