Is it just me or does anybody else imagine Abner Doon looking exactly like Ben Kingsley? Doon is one of my favorite characters (maybe because we know so little about him), and every time I see Kingsley, I go "Hey! It's Abner Doon!"

I don't know I always saw him as a short fat coniving little rich guy. Sort of like a malitious Danny Devito.

Getting warmer. To me, he looked like this kind of desperate middle adged guy. Like maybe the dad on the wonder years, but with less hair and the voice of Ed Begley Jr.

I always heard a strong, rich voice like Jim Morrison, Johnny Depp, or Satan (being all very similar of course, hahaha). I thought the description in "Worthing Saga" placed him in his thirties and being very fit. He was described as appearing stout. This, as later told, was due to his donning (sp?) a kevlar vest. I picture a guy with a body type with which you might attribute Jazz Worthing or a thirty year old Andrew Wiggin. He gives off a patriarchal strength and resolve. Beautiful character.

I can definitely see where you're coming from on the Ben Kingsley idea.

I had no previous thoughts of my own, however [Smile]

I second Vash's image. I'm reading the book right now for the first time and I'm definitely seeing portly and short....with a beard...like a harsher-looking version of the guy on Jurassic Park. [Smile]

That's funny. Did the book describe him as a short pudgy guy? That's how I envisioned him too. An evil clone of Danny Devito DOES come to mind. [Smile]

Who is this character you speak of? Abner Doon? I am assuming that this Doon is from an OSC book?
