Having enjoyed the character Si Wang-Mu so much, I have come to understand that she has a wierd genetic defect. In Xenocide, Jane says that she has a special defect in which she is just as smart as any of the Godspoken, but she doesn't have to go through any of the OCD caused purifications.
Anyway, I was just wondering why she was the only one on Path with that defect. Isn't improbably that she would be the only one? Or am I overanalizing OSC's wonderfully written Xenocide?

They didn't test everyone on the planet -- it's just that of the people they did test, Si Wang-Mu was the only one. Though since it was (apparently) a random mutation, there's a reasonable possibility she'd be the only one anyway, especially if Han Fei-Tzu was correct that "a mutation like that is much more likely to have crippled [her]." And yes, you're overanalyzing. *smile*
