I have a question. I'm reading Shadow of the Giant, and Peter's compound is in Ribeirao Preto. I was wondering if that is where OSC went on his mission? Does anyone know?

Thank you. My son is serving a mission there right now and when I read the name of the city, I thought there must be a connection to OSC. My son is a fan, so he'll think it's pretty cool, too.

I just realized that I have no idea where in Brasil OSC served his mission. Does anybody have any information about that?

Syrjay said Yes in his response to my question. Does that mean he's wrong, or doesn't really know?

"Yes" was in reference to your original question about whether he served in Ribeirão Preto or not. For those that haven't read his bio here is a blurb:
quote: Card left for Brazil on a two-year mission for the LDS Church. Serving in the cities of the state of São Paulo (Ribeirão Preto, Araraquara, Araçatuba, Campinas, Itu, and São Paulo itself), Card became fluent in Portuguese and fell in love with Brazilian culture.

Thank you Syrjay. I figured you knew what you were talking about. Thanks for verifying it for me.
