They've got it reversed though. Ender's Game was written so that Speaker would make sense. It's not that Speaker was written to juice more money from the series.

They did reverse the Speaker for the Dead/Ender's Game thing, but it still was funny. Mean, maybe, like so much comedy is, but funny. Note:

The best ones are their summaries of Frank Herbert's Dune novels. They only do the first 4 though. I get the impression that they just couldn't handle 5 and 6!

Parody's fine. I enjoy a good one. And if a book is really great, then they can't possibly mock it without being inaccurate, right? So the inaccuracies are actually a GOOD sign <grin>.
What's disturbing are those sad people who feel the need to write long, vicious attacks on works of literature they simply don't understand. They're the ones who want to punish people for writing books they don't like. That is not at ALL what these wonderful parodists are doing. I'm just glad books of mine made their list.

For the longest time, I actually had all of the book-a-minutes as a text file on my PDA. I'd bring it out at nerdy parties (about the only kind I'm ever invited to) and we'd laugh and laugh.

FWIW... Regardless of what anyone writes about Xenocide - I dig that book. It's so jam-packed with ideas I feel like I could read it a thousand times and still not get 'it' - forget about in a minute!
