Ok, so this is one of my "Amazon Recommends" The other links all refer to it as just being part of a short story compilation. Does anyone know what "Stonefather" is? Is it a short story? Is it now a novel?

It's a novelette -- but takes place in the universe of Scott's new fanstasy "Mither Mage" series. The first novel in that series will be "The Gate." This story is not part of the novel -- but takes place in the same world.

P.S. Oh yeah, it's really really good [Smile]

Interesting. Has OSC talked about the premise of the new series at all?

[Edit--I mean, has he talked publicly about it. I'm aware that you probably know a thing or two about the plot and the world it takes place in.

It is really good, by the way - I have just read it in a fantasy compilation. It has that mythic quality that made the Alvin series so powerful, as well as some really interesting characters and interactions between them. I'm interested to see how the series turns out.

Interesting; I'll definitely check it out when my library gets a copy of it.

Hmmm... ok. I was just shocked that there was something else coming out around the same time as Ender in Exile. I'll have to investigate!
