My submission is the first draft of a piece I put together after seeing the movie Whale Rider. All of the noises were made by yours truly on an electric guitar (that includes the whale sounds).

This is impossible!! What are you people trying to do to me here??? twinky, yours is just you! TaK's is him and a bunch of people. So how am I supposed to vote for one of them? If it was individual song abilities, I'd go with twinky because it WAS individual...
If it was just enjoyable fun listening, I'd go with TaK's...but then, that's not fair, cause he's jamming with at least 3 other musicians. So what's a girl to do?
I don't know the criteria...but both seem kind of like jam sessions instead of actual songs (good jam sessions at that.) I really liked both of them and I'm really impressed with the sounds you got out of that guitar twink.
So basically, I didn't vote for anyone cause I'm in a quandry. Thanks for the links though, it was really fun to listen to both of them! Impressive.

As to how people vote, there aren't really any rules. Vote on the basis of whichever criteria are more important to you. And really, the voting is just an excuse for us to showcase our material anyway.

Both pieces are great. They are very different styles and I can't directly compare them. I am one of those people who have a hard time picking favorites of anything. I am much more likely to have a rotating top 5 list. I might have to give an edge to Raja given that he is a fellow Canadian but I am a more of a bass player than a guitarist so TAK gets points there. Oh well I will call it a tie as well.
I would love to put together a submission but my guitar is in need of repair, though I could just do a bass submission I suppose. I don't have much in the way of quality recording equipment, but I might be able to pull something off. I don't know if I will have time though, and I am definitely not up to the professionalism of these pieces.
Keep up the good work guys.

I agree with solo and Narnia. I cannot choose between them.
I like Twinky's for its ethereal nature. Even if I didn't know he had written it after he'd seen Whale Rider, I would still be able to picture whales dancing in the ocean depths.
TAK's reminds me of Rush. Which is a definant good thing in my book. I saw a more modern image with his song entry, but just as compelling.
Both of you are no fair. I'm just gonna have to listen to them again .
