The story:

Little guy needing stitches. Has to hold really still, 'cause the stitches are in a tough area. Anesthetic not working well.

The dad:

Sweet-faced, strong, gentle-gruff voice. "I've had good experience with my kids in this type of situation, so long as I'm right with them." Distracts little guy. Little guy does great, even though tearful. Dad explains everything, talks him through it, loves him right through the pain.

Kid said thanks, has decided to donate his ER teddy bear to his church outreach program.

(I told dad about Papa Moose. They'd be good friends.)

Really? Personally, I broke down sobbing and couldn't stop mourning the decline of human existence for two hours. What a sickening example of immorality and child cruelty.
