I need an example of a tongue-in-cheek 'pet peeve' - something trivial (or imaginary), yet funny, that someone pretending to great power and influence would choose to tackle above all other world issues.

This probably isn't clear... I want to finish a passage something like:
quote:
If you're complaining about that, then I must have greater influence than I thought. I guess I'll ...
Things like: solve the jaywalking problem; fight solar flares; work to abate the glut of hamsters put up for adoption; etc.

Help! I'm not feeling funny today AT ALL.

Woman in the office next to me has the following in reality:

Must stomp out odd numbered weight. Cannot weigh 119. Must either starve to 118 or binge to 120.

Must have a fan or a pole present to dance.

Must stop the insanity of Mustard and Mayo touching any meat products, ever.

Must commit arachno-genicide.

Must place warning bells on every person in office to stop them from sneaking up on her, mostly unintentionally, and scaring her.

I work in a fun place.

Thanks! I love the mustard mayo one. Just wacky enough.

Must stop the horrible misuse of the phrase "could care less" in any language except Yiddish.

Err, why is it ok in Yiddish?

I'm just asking -- I could really care less.

I love the word quip. On a triple word score, and adding an E to make equip, it's one great scrabbler.
