Yikes. All of these serious debate threads at once are crowding out the fluff and making me nervous. It's time we had more FLUFF!!
There was a thread that asked us what we did for a living. Now I ask you my fellow Hatrackers, what WOULD you do? If you could get paid to do anything for the rest of your life, what would it be? (Sleeping doesn't count. )
Me, I would be employed at a University with and elite, but small, wealthy, but small music department. I would be head of choral activities and conduct the elite (and small) 40 voice choir...and we would tour around the world singing all the greatest stuff that has ever been written. Yeah, that would be great.

I would smack Paul everytime he turned into a grammar/spelling nazi. If I was paid a grand a day I figure I'd be scoring at about a dollar a pop.
Oh, and I would frequently use terms such as "upside your head," "show you the back of my hand" and the beloved "my pimp-hand is strong."

I would actually have the discipline and the skill to write the novels and screenplays that I come up with.
Either that or I'd be a perpetual mooch. Oh, wait, that's probably what I'll end up being, anyway. I love that my friends adore me enough to pay for things like plane tickets.
In my fantasy world, I would color giant posters in a variety of markers and sell them for thousands of dollars. With the money, I would pay for the arthritis treatment I would need from coloring in all those little details.

Maybe a couple dwarfs...but it would be small as in LESS PEOPLE I'd have to have Icarus, Cor, Vana and the Hatrackers in my choir too...

I don't really have anything to dream about right now expect for something around talents. Something in music, art, drama or evetnually writing..

I'd be able to write all of the ideas running around in my head and have it be good. Or lacking that, I'd be a publisher of young adult fantasy and science fiction.

Anyone still interested in being in my choir? You'd have to re-enroll in high school, and wait a couple years until I'm done with grad school...oh, and you'd also have to wait and enroll where I eventually get a job, which could be in an exciting place like Kalamazoo!
