More than a bit much. Use of such solvents (like those within the varnish) without proper ventilation of fumes is illegal under health&safety&fire codes, no matter what jurisdiction you live in. [ February 02, 2004, 08:35 PM: Message edited by: aspectre ]

I'm betting it never even occurred to this guy that all the fumes would migrate into your apartment. I hope the super can get his windows open for you, but I wouldn't hold a grudge against him until you've talked to him. He might just be guilty of not thinking and be really sorry about the whole thing.
