Olivet, first off, you need to tell us what MILF means.
Second, if it means what I think it means, and you're mad at someone named NOAH, then is there a web page we can go to to um, .. get mad at Noah too?

Isn't it interesting how SPAM has raised the cultural literacy. (Well, at least that's the only way *I* know what that term means.)

Okay, so I told Ron the 'going to see LiT' story on the way to B'ham to see his Grandmother yesterday. I included the bit about wanting to die when the etickets commercial came on, etc.
I also told him that Jeremy tried to tell me something that Noah said about me, but I didn't understand it. I thought he said that Noah said I was a moof or a woof or something. I felt really bad because I thought he was telling people I was a dog or something. I mean, I was sitting a theater to see Lost in Translation in a LOTR dress. I was feeling very stupid and vulnerable.
Anyway, I had also told Ron about lots of other things about WenchCon and jokes that emerged from it and whatnot, but he hadn't heard this one before.
"Could it have been MILF?"
(pause) "Yes. Yess, I'm sure that's what it was. What does it mean?"
(He tells me.)
"That little Sh--!"
Now, I don't curse a lot. I do curse, but not so much that i'd be comfortable in a Stephen King novel. Anyway, Ron thought it was funny, because he likes the idea of being married to a MILF. He's heard the term a lot, it being fairly common among his ex-coworkers. He was glad I didn't know whaty it meant when I heard it, because he would have expected me to hit somebody, cry, or both.
But in any case, my innital reaction was a somewhat comical mixture of feeling flattered and feeling very angry. *snort*
This thread was meant to be light-hearted, though, since I know that in the world Noah lives in it's meant to be a complimentand I'm sure I'm not the only one at WenchCon refferred to as such.
Mark was right. It would have been better if I had not known, but I choose not to take offense.
Noah, However, is now a BILS (Boy I'd Like to Strangle), but you know, only in fun.

BTW, for those of you trying to figure out what song to download, it's "Stacy's Mom" by Fountains of Wayne.
It's one of the funnier ones I've ever heard...
Particularly nice (IMO) is the 60s throwback chord progression on: "Stacey can't you see You're just not the girl for me?"

Well, I guess I get a little defensive when people say I need to go to proffesional couselors ect. They make me extremely uncomfortable.

This brings back fond memories of the "doctor" program a bunch of used to access on the university system back about ten years ago. You'd type in responses to it's program and it would give you a fairly good facsimile of a second-rate therapy session (and free!).
The point, though, was to type in enough really absurd answers to cause the program to devolve into total gibberish. Anything like that still out there?
