I am not the Easter Bunny, but I play one on the weekends.
I do private parties and corporate events.
The following email transaction just occurred:
quote: Client: I will be returning the contract to you this week with the deposit. Is it all right if you bill us for the remainder after the show. That way Mr. Bush (of the Anhueser Bush's, not the Presidential Bush's) doesn't have to write the Easter Bunny a check.
Me: That will be just fine. Besides, the Easter Bunny doesn't have any pockets to put checks in. If he did, he'd be the Easter Kangaroo.
Client: Dan....Thank you very much. (I swear I heard her laughing over the e-mail)
What do you think about an Easter Kangaroo. Bigger than a rabbit, with a pocket to store the eggs. Makes sense to me.

It is a shame that there are no major holidays associated with kangaroos. Perhaps Boxing Day?

Did you paste that, or copy it? Because if you pasted it and the client spelled Busch like that, I'd wonder if you were going to get ripped off.
That said, what does a bunny have to do with Jesus in the first place? A kangaroo is just as likely.

Wouldn't all that bouncing up and down crack the eggs? I guess you could shove some of that fake grass down the pouch as well.
When I was a small boy, I went on an Easter egg hunt. I stepped on the golden egg, the most prized egg of all. I think that brief instant in time when I realized what I had done explains much of my inner turmoil today.

I'm up for Easter Kangaroos. The only problem is they cannot be white, like the easter bunny can, in order to blend in with the pastel colours associated with easter...

In all seriousness. Some marketing genius decided rabbits were un-Australian (well, we do shoot them as vermin), so why not use a cute and cuddly native marsupial instead?
