I am utterly cranky.
I don't even know HOW these $#@$# viruses got here! [Mad]

I'm definitely clear of viruses, but I keep getting "undeliverable" e-mails "returned" to me (which I never sent) stating that they had a virus attached. So someone who has/had my e-mail address does have a virus, and a virus that falsifies the "return to" address. I was deleting them, but now I'm moving them into a quarantine folder so I can track the addresses to which it was sent. Once I have a decent size collection, I'm gonna post it and ask if the addresses look familiar to anyone.

I don't think they will, actually, since the e-mail address receiving them is neither of the ones Mama and I use here.

If any of the returns have the full headers to the messages, post those. I can tell you at least the ISP of who it really came from, most likely.

Well, AVG seems to have taken care of the viruses...
Now I am using this trojan search soon...
But I just want to go out and buy some food before it gets dark and I just can't. *cross*

I am livid... They said they tried to deliver the package.
I have been waiting in the house all day long. If someone had tried to deliver it, I would have heard them.
And there's no note on the door or anything...
Damn, I SO MAD! [Mad]
I really don't think they tried to deliver the package...

Pop, I've got the same thing happening. I think there's a good chance it may be a Hatracker who's got the virus.

Mailer daemons that bounce virus messages to the holder of the "reply-to" field should be dragged out and shot. Fair warning: if your ISP runs such a configuration, there's a good chance you've been blocked.

Pappa Moose, you mean I don't have a virus when I get those emails, but the other people do? Maybe that's why our tech guy never responded to me. Huh.

Synth, call the company that was shipping the parcel and get a tracking number. Track it down and you should get a good idea of what is happening.

Fair warning: If someone is spoofing your email address for spam, chances are really good they're routing the mail through some place like China, and it's probably not through an actual ISP. So, first, it edit: may not be a virus. Second, you may be looking at changing your email address because there is nothing your ISP can do.

Yeah, that too. If your mailserver is an open relay in Russia, don't expect to get my attention [Smile]

I haven't left the house. No one rang my doorbell, buzzed my door. They didn't leave a slip or anything..
I'm really getting mad... This is too much... I should have gotten this thing yesterday! [Mad]

Syn:
You need to call the delivery company. Soon. Apparently, someone is mis-delivering, and if you're not careful they'll return the item to the sender.

A couple of years ago, I worked for a school district, and I was waiting on a UPS shipment of a program update so I could process W-2's.

It never arrived after a week. Finally, I checked with the company, and the tracking number said that someone had attempted delivery every day for a week!

The local UPS drivers thought that because the schools were closed that the district office was closed. So they left the package in their office all week and just reported that they had made a delivery attempt every day. LIARS!

Anyway, you need to call FEDEX or UPS or whatever to find out what is going on. You might have to wait like 45 minutes, but you've got to actually get a live person on the line.
