Does anyone here watch Survivor? I thought the last episode was going to be this thursday evening, so I was very disappointed to wake up this morning and find out that it was on last night. I heard about the proposal and who won and all that, but could anyone tell me what the "big surprise" was?

I figured the proposal was the surprise...I did not watch the episode though, just read about it on cnn.com

I've been reading the recaps and forums at televisionwithoutpity.com this season, and wow do they hate Rupert. Haaaate. They think he's arrogant, sexist, totally self-absorbed, and clueless, among other things.
Still, though, I like him. He's got his flaws, definitely, but he's just so darn earnest and bumbling and sweet. I sympathize with all of his insecure moments, and really want to see him bring home the reward. Of course, CBS won't stop until he does take home $1million, so I'll get to see it eventually. I voted for rupert, but I seriously considered shi-ann. she seemed pretty nice and she was the last one with any brains left besides rob. I mean, i felt like screaming "dumbasses" at the tv everytime they didn't vote out rob or amber.

I despised Shi-anne. She seemed so arrogant. But I really liked her final speech to Rob and Amber. She did not take the game personally in the end, unlike Lex, who was angry at rob for the exact same thing he had done to Jerry. Blech, Lex was the worst.

I have to agree that Rupert seemed a lot more arrogant and stupid this time around, but he's a pirate. Enough said.
