crack for the rabid Pottermaniac

It's a flash site, and on my POC dialup, it's pretty slow, just to let ya'll know. Cool, but slow.

Okay, someone help me figure out all the easter eggs! I know they're there...I'll start out: press 62442 on the cell phone on the desk. But that's an easy one. I have no talent for these things!

Oh, and when you do find that easter egg, tell me what it says...I can't read her handwriting very well. [Frown]

[ROFL]

The page is still loading, but my dog is sitting on my bed, scared stiff of all the animal noises, and frantically looking for their makers around my bedroom! *giggles*

The page that brings up seems to be an alternate page from the first Harry Potter... Hard to read, though.

The scrunchy is a portkey, but I can't figure out anything in the "door" part. Maybe you have to click on the fly?

Edit: in the extra stuff section, you erase a paper on the board to reveal a potion recepie: a feather, leaves, a bug of some sort, and some sort of liquid all going into a cauldron with a question mark. The leaves are pinned to the board already. Click on them and they disappear. Looking for the others now.

No spoilers yet.

Edit #2: Completed the potion recepie. All I got was the original typed manuscript of the first Harry Potter. Blast.

The ingredients are fairly easy to find, if you just go to all the side links.

quote:
"So this Flamel bloke found the stone--" said Ron.
"No- he _made_ it," said Harry. "He was [something] alchemist which [something]"
"So [something something] turns base metals into gold," said Hermione. She had that old proving-I-know-more-than-everyone-else look on her face, the other two noticed, "Of course, I read about this in 'Alchemy, Ancient Art and Science' by Argo Pyrites-"
"I missed that one myself," muttered Ron.
"- of course, it's some of the most difficult magic you can do. And you end up not just with pure gold but also with a funny stone thing - "
"Which is what I'm on about," said Harry, "The Philosopher's Stone, yes. And it works too. It kept Nicholas Flamel and his wife alive for almost five hundred years."
"_What?_"
"I know," said Harry. "But it's true. He was spotted at the [something] in [somewhere] in 1762 and he was born back in 13 something."
Ron whistled.
"But he's dead now?" he asked.
"Of course," said Harry. "Someone stole his stone so he couldn't make any more Elixir of Life, could he? It takes a while to make another stone and by that time, I suppose, he was just too old to live without his Elixir until a new stone was ready. And now I'll tell you something else really weird that I haven't told you up to now - the stone was found in my parents' safe at Gringott's bank."
But instead of the interested noises Harry had expected, Ron and Hermione simply stared at him.
"What?" said Harry.
Ron cleared his throat, opened his mouth to speak but shut it again.
"_What_?" Harry said.
"Well, Harry," said Hermione. "I mean..."
"You mean what?"
He stared at them both as they shuffled their feet and tried not to look him in the eye.
"You don't think-" he said suddenly and angrily, "That my _parents_ stole the stone?"
"Um..." said Ron.
"Look," said Harry furiously, "That's like saying they _murdered_ Flamel..."
"Oh Harry, we never thought..."
"Not much, you didn't," said Harry. "I don't know how it got in here, but the stone wasn't put there by _them_..."
"Right," said Ron quickly. "I'm sure you're right."
Harry wasn't at all convinced that they meant it, but at that moment the bell rang which put an end to the conversation.

edit - missed a word [Smile]

Place the question mark buttons in the correct award boxes and you get old Potter illustrations. There are only two buttons, and three boxes, but I can't switch them out. I did the two right next to one another, but there's another up high next to Frank Longbottom's award. Maybe different combinations bring up different things.

EDIT: she sure likes her gum.

EDIT AGAIN: something weird happened when the clock hit about 12:45 (??). A weird bug flew in, the wind picked up, and it blew over her cup of pens. The clock glowed a weird color but no links were made possible, at least none that I can see. I went into one of the "portkeys" and when I came back the cup was upright again.

after reading TLC's message boards, I figured out all that anyone can find so far:

* Dial the MAGIC number (;-)) into the mobile phone.
* In 'Fansites' put the two medals in the boxes.
* In 'Links' pull out the question marked book. Drag the key and open the box.
* In 'Extra Stuff' use the rubber on the empty sheet of paper. It'll have a list of objects. These objects crop up on some pages, and if you click them they disappear. Get all four and you'll get a goodie.

The locked door is driving everyone nuts, but if you stay there long enough, the mirror fogs up and you see a message "Peeves wuz here". I have a feeling it won't open up until book 6 is finished. And apparently (it hasn't done it for me yet), if you stay in the main page long enough, the phone starts ringing. If you answer it, you hear Jo going "Hello? Hello? Is anyone there?"

JKR said Patience is the key.

Yeah, that happened. I went to the bathroom and the phone was ringing when I got back. I was so startled I actually said "Hello?"

EDIT: I really wish I knew what the hell the watch did. It happens every 15 minutes.

It's a doxie, I think. And I don't think it does anything. I tried clicking on it once, and nothing happened.

[Cry] I'm completely lost! I click on the link and it takes me to a Harry Potter site with none of the things you all are describing. It has links to Harry Potter websites in different countries. I know I'm missing something. Could someone help out the utterly incompetent? [Cry]

Same here, hansenj. It was working for a while, but now I'm getting a site that's very... blue. Odd.

I heard some browser's haven't made the switch yet, and they're still posting the old content, which was just links to her publishers. Just be patient jenni, it should come up soon. In the meantime, Post in the Rackademy thread!
