I was riding my scooter down by my school and something caught my eye. A girl was sitting next to a bus stop wearing an Endercon tshirt! I recognized her after taking a better look. It was Miro.
I stopped and said hi. It was cool cuz I had never randomly run into a hatracker before.
Anyway, that's it.

You know they've been declare a hazard to children due to the number of ER visits that have been caused by children trying to either run from them or kill them in inventive* ways.
*Such as placing one, by hand, under the wheel of a moving car, baseball bats, etc.

The house of a former next door neighbor, who now lives a few miles away, is literally covered, top to bottom, in cicadas. I, on the other hand, haven't seen a single one in my neighborhood.

Hey, what about that time you were visiting Myr and you ran into me and Suneun and Beca at Club Hell? That was pretty random. And cool.

There were many many cicada's in the room I slept in Saturday night, also a few hatrackers. Hmm

Whereabouts in Woodbridge are you? I grew up in Lake Ridge, and moved out toward Manassas right before HS (~12 years ago). Not there anymore though. It's a shame, as there seem to be a lot of us in the DC area.

Happy Camper, I live close to Woodbridge Senior High. I can watch their crew practice rowing from my back deck. Man they can yell! I hope to be moving down to Stafford within the next year. We're building a house with a lot more room. I have no idea where we'll put a baby in November in this place!

Wow, that's close to where I was. I was a little farther north, lived right by the Lake Ridge Community Swim Club. WSHS would have been my base school had I been in that house during High School (I say base school because I went to TJ). Crazy.

Same question went through my head, Raia. Well, first it was, "Really? Was Cary Elwes as chubby in real life as his character looked in Ella Enchanted?" and then I realized I wasn't sure if he was serious.

"You can hear them in Reston. Very neat sounding. I haven't seen too many though."
Last saturday when I emerged from our house those things had just emerged from wherever it is they emerge and literally covered up all of our plants...they had this fresh/slimy look to them that indicated they had just hatched.
