I'm testing out this new writing software I heard about on Utah Children's Writers email group; so far, I am very wary of how it proposes to handle the task of creating a story (too forumulaic).
But I'm at the really early stages of using the software.
Thought I'd let all you authors know about it, though. The demo's free; the complete software looks to cost upwards of $90-$190.

What the website doesn't give is a nice, simple explanation of what Dramatica is. The site looks like it was designed by monkeys.

I've played with a the demo a while ago, and although I didn't put too much time and effort into what I placed into it (the demo doesn't allow you to save or print), it looks like its main focus is to keep your story and characters focused, and to figure out exactly what kind of things they need to do to make them INTERESTING, and to keep the story flowing fresh.
It makes sure you KNOW your story world, and your characters - it does thins by asking many questions about both along the way, and filling out personality profiles, and selecting what kind of qualities or problems your characters may have - it then gives suggestions as to how to best extrapolate these features from your characters.
I'd need to play with it more, but it looks like it could be pretty handy.
I believe it's put out by the same people who made MovieMagic Screenwriter, the absolute best screenwriting auto-formatting word processer available. I swear by it.

Going completely off on a tangent, how do you take a screenshot of a program where the capability isn't built-in?

hit the print screen button on your keyboard. That saves a screenshot into your clipboard. You would then go into a program like paint (a free accessory that comes with windows) and paste the screenhot into the program (once the "canvas" of paint is open you would hold down control and press V). You can then save or print the screenshot

Don't you have to 'shift + Prnt Scrn'? That's how I was taught. Maybe I've been hitting shift along along when I haven't had to?

no, you don't need shift print screen (shift will not hurt anything, but it serves no purpose), however if you wish to only capture what is in the selected window (ie: right now my selected window would be my web browser since I am typing in it) you would hit "alt+print screen" otherwise print screen captures everything on your monitor (including your task bar and such).
