*sigh* I've been watching that one. It had the most potential to go up the coast at my family.

That said, I wouldn't mind being killed suddenly as I'm laying in a backyard hammock.
And then there's the civil unrest:

See, this is the way it was meant to be. Constant fear, bankrupt insurers, wealthy grocers, vaction havens trashed. Does anyone even live in the Bahamas or Jamaica anymore? Frances just dort of hovered over the former and Ivan covered almost the entire entity of the latter in hurricane force winds. Now the Bahamas are going to get it again.

Trevor, don't worry about it. I understand your vein of humor, and I did find it funny. Did I find it offensive? On some level, yeah, but I have this crazy ability to find something funny and offensive at the same time. I didn't find it all that offensive though.

Actually, Trevor, it's not your belief or disbelief in the existence of God that interests me, but your perception of what other people seem to believe about him. And those ideas seem a little off, at least to me... though of course, I can't speak for anyone but myself.

There are as many Gods as there are people to believe - the God the LDS observe may or may not be the same God the Catholics profess to worship and so on.
And if we delve into individual believers, the Jack Chik running gag leaps to mind. I don't think anyone on this forum believes in the God he preaches, but I cannot discount his notions as being any more right or wrong than the Catholics, Protestants, Baptists and so on.
There are some people who believe God is a great and wonderful thing - and some of those believers feel their God should be inflicted on others by sword and fire.
It's all a matter of perspective - who's holding the candle and who's on the business end of it.
