It's true, folks. Fahim hasn't chopped me into little bits and stored me in the freezer yet, although that would be hard since the freezer is soooo tiny. But yes, folks, I'm alive, I'm well, and the Sri Lankan elections are over with only 6 dead and over 1400 counts of violence, and the imposed house arrest for pasty faced foreigners is over, and we survived church being cancelled due to elections, and the whole nine yards.
Just thought I'd update ya. And Fahim is telling me to get off the net so we can go home and have lunch.
If'n ya wanna keep updated on my life, you can read my blog - although it's true that I haven't updated it in a few weeks due to aforementioned elections and that sort of thing, but will get it updated tomorrow with the last three or four weeks of life. Whew!

Hmm, curried Laurie, over rice . . . it has definite possibilities.
I've been reading the blog semi-regularly (which is how I read any blog), and have been fascinated. Glad things are going well. (except for that whole election thing -- just glad that's over!)

Life is going fine. My sister, niece, and nephew are in town right now - and staying with us - as sis's hubby got a job in the Maldives, 400 miles away southwest of Indi. Her hubby was in town last week for a day. And dear hubby's sister, her husband, and her daughter are also in town from Dubai. It's been interesting.
And my niece (14) is staying for another week while sis and nephew join hubby in the Maldives. She's at that fun age. But realistically, she's one of those types where she's ALWAYS at a fun age.
