It was a great game though...plus it helped me to procrastinate on reading over a paper I have to send out tonight one last time. I hate that last proofread...I am always nervous that I will miss something (which I always do). Nothing like proofreading 27 pages of text.

Baseball... talk about a sport that needs a good shakedown.
Lax enforcement of steroid rules. No salary cap to encourage competitiveness between teams. Looooong games that individually make little difference in the outcome of the season.
No wonder football has been whooping it in the fan numbers.
But hey, at least it isn't pro basketball.!

For the Red Sox have defied history to defeat the Yankees. (I'm not a Sox fan, but I certainly don't care for the Yankees)

The Red Sox have certainly beaten the Yankees in the last 86 years. They have even been to the World Series in that time. You can say the curse is lifted all you want, but they haven't proven it yet.
