Apparently, we will experience the greatest voter turnout since World War 2. To be honest, if we can hit 90 percent, and Bush wins, it will be worth it to me. Nothing makes me sadder (politically) than seeing the apathy of American voters. My right to vote is the most important thing about being an American, and so many people pass it by.
So, go American people! Get out there and raise that percentage!

From a non-partisan standpoint the only thing I care more about then voter apathy, is uneducated voters.

Educated to me means knowing who you are voting for and why. That's why I abstained from a few non-partisan local races because I had no idea who any of the canidates were, and by voting I just diminish the power of the educated voter.

That is cool...I was just worried that you (not you specifically) meant that if they were educated they would be voting the same way you were...lol..
I have had that very conversation with people, believe it or not....and I'm not talking about here, I had a teacher IRL that felt that way!

So, you would rather we not vote just for the sheer sake of voting - but rather exercise our democratic right to try and sway the electoral college.
And the fact I don't give a darn who wins the election means I am refraining from using my power indescriminately and therefore I am acting responsibly by not choosing willy-nilly?

I might not get to vote! My wife and I just realized today that we don't think my voter registration card ever came in the mail ... I have to call Olympia on Monday and find out what's up ...

I compleatly agree with you that a lack of education between voters is a serius problem. people are just as lickly to vote by who looks like a better presedent as they are to simply vote the way their parents are friends voted.
your vote should be based on what you think is best based on atleast some knowledge of the "facts"
