That’s right, we don’t have TV, so, are there any good, live sights? Ones that will update automatically and what not? We (I) do have radio, so that’ll be on, but does anyone now some good websites for live results?

WTOP is the local news station for the DC metro area. You can listen online; they have connections with CBS, so around 2000EST or so, they'll start getting in the results.

I get most of my news from my LiveJournal friends list, believe it or not. Most news tends to hit there rather quickly.

electoral-vote is showing a neck-to-neck race, with Kerry slightly in the lead. The site hasn't been updated in several hours, though, so I don't know how accurate this is. dailykos has some exit polls up that are predicting Kerry right now, though they caution that exit polls may not be accurate. And there's always Google News. Those are the sites I've been hitting, along with the LJ friends list.

A friend of mine is a pollster, and has been updating his LiveJournal with numbers from various sites as he gets them. I would link directly to his journal, but he friendslocks everything so it wouldn't be very useful. Instead I will copy some stuff he has posted.

Posted 2:15, from the dailykos site:

from dailykos, which got 'em someplace else. READ THE DISCLAIMER. DO NOT REJOICE YET.

Kerry/Bush, Kerry leads in bold. No idea why some states are listed twice.

AZ: 45/55
CO: 48/51
LA: 42/57
MI: 51/48 WI: 52/48
PA: 60/40
OH: 52/48
FL: 51/48
MI: 51/47
NM: 50/48
MN: 58/40
WI: 52/43 IA: 49/49
NH: 57/41
In 2000, the early numbers favored Bush. In 2002, exit polling was terribly innacurate. Exit polling also doesn't account for absentee and early ballots. And it's still early in the day. PA and MN will be much closer than these number indicate.

So please, please take with a giant grain of sand.

No new numbers, but from a dailykos post, the reason some states appeared twice:

AZ 45-55
CO 48-51
LA 42-57
MI 51-48
WI 52-48
PA 60-40
OH 52-48
FL 51-48

A second round of polls, conducted by the Kerry campaign, show similar trends, also suggesting the senator will will New Mexico and New Hampshire.

MICH 51-47
NM 50-48
MINN 58-40
WISC 52-43
IOWA 49-49
NH 57-41

From dailykos, again.

10) Magic 8-Ball

9) Sit outside. See what your neighbors are doing. If the guy with the Kerry Signs starts crying, Bush is winning. If the guy with the Bush sign starts praying, Kerry is winning.

If they both come out side and embrace, then shoot themselves, Ralph Nader won.

8) Build a time machine, go into the future by 20 years, got to the nearest library and see if we've figured out who won yet.

7)Radio?

6) Go outside and check for smoke signals.

5) Go to the nearest liquor store and do a straw poll of who is buying the most alcohol. That would be the losers. (Sure the winners will want to drink, but the losers will drink to forget)

4) Go to Boston and get a hotel outside the Democratic Party Celebration. If Kerry starts loosing, the lights will go out early. If it is going to be close, or if he is winning, then the black helicopters will arrive and he'll be arrested as an "Enemy Supporter" and disappear from public view.

3) Bug the U-Haul offices in Washington DC. Whoever starts calling them about moving furniture will allow you to figure out who, if anyone, is moving into DC, and who is moving out.

2)Go to a bar with a TV. BE WARNED, Mind-numbing drugs and election results may cause one to slip into a coma, and like it.

1) Go to Drudge/Limbaugh/etc conservative radio web-sites. They are already saying Bush is the winner, and will continue to promote the undeniable assertion that President Bush is still in the White House, Iraqi's love us, The EU doesn't matter, and Global Warning is both an irresistible force that cannot be changed and a fraud made up by greed hack-scientists, no matter who is in the White house come February.

I'm looking at http://www.cnn.com/ELECTION/2004/
at the moment - seems to be a decent coverage.
