So I just finished the phone interview that determines whether I can get into the program. I think I did as well as I am currently capable of doing. The interviewer was very nice and while she could not flat out say if I was in, her manner seemed to indicate that she was confident I was good enough to obtain entry.
I'm still as nervous as a nudist in pitch black cavern full of porcupines. But at least I'll find out in 2-3 days if I got in.

How about updates on both -- and how is your wife and when is that baby coming, while you're at it?

I made a thread about the FSOT, I didn't pass the written exam. Nameless agency I did respectable but my Chinese scores just weren't high enough, which is in part why I am going to Beijing.
Baby boy is due May 31st, Mrs. BB is way pregnant and trying to stay hydrated and unstressed so that baby doesn't show up early.

Will Mrs. BB and Baby BB (should that be BBB or perhaps BBBB for baby boy BB) be coming with you?
Unfortunately no they will not. Tiffany and I feel like the support apparatus we have setup for her while I am gone should be a workable solution. It's going to be rough, I've never been away from her that long. The last time I was away was last year in June when I was gone for about 5 days. We both had a pretty rough time with it. But after doing alot of thinking, and praying we're both pretty excited.
As for little BB, I'd probably just refer to him as bb. Until he reaches the age of 18, then he might be .30-06 for all I know.
