Superstation is allergic to anything milk-related. A few other things, also, but nothing unavoidable. PB&J sandwiches probably wouldn't work. Though after the week away for BobnDanaCon, we might not be up for another trip. We'll have to see.

I've got to talk with hubby about it, but I think we'll probably be there. We'll be in the general area then for sure. As we get closer to the date, we should check back in.

Not a problem -- no milk-based substances are on the menu. Wasn't planning on PB&Js either.

*nod* Understood. The only reason I'll be able to manage is I know that week at work will be particularly light -- and I'm not traveling to Iowa with kids in tow.

That I can understand. I'd be leery of bringing my impressionable children to meet my cray-zay internet friends.

You're so sweet! I really wish I could. I like you and I miss CA a lot. We're working on getting Jeff a job out in Glendale. Maybe next year. *sniff*

I'll do what Rivka did-- if you can hitchhike to Dallas, I'll come the rest of the way with you!

I'd offer to have towels waiting, but I figure you'll dry off somewhere between Texas and California.

I don't think we'll be able to make it, because my parents are coming to town that weekend and I expect to be busy entertaining them. I'll let you know if plans change, though.

I'll let you know this weekend. I'm in Buffalo this week (whee!) and will be home late tomorrow. Then I can talk to hubby about the agenda for Saturday...whether he wants to do SeaWorld or if we can go a little more mellow, sleep in and then go celebrate your birthday!
If we don't make it, I'm going to be in SoCal for work sometime in late April, and would like to get together for dinner or something while I'm there. I'll be in Orange, wherever that is.

saxy, I understand. Family comes first. (I don't suppose they want to come and meet your weird internet friends . . . ? )
Sounds good, jeniwren. *hums Mellow Yellow*
Orange as in City of Orange, or Orange as in Orange County? We grow citrus here -- there are lots of "Orange"s!

Ya know? He poses a great question. All I would need is an address so I can mapquest or google the directions.

Ask me again tomorrow night. Right now I'm rather distracted -- my room is full of hatarackers.

rivka, the family concensus is that we're going to SeaWorld.
But as I said before, sometime toward the end of April or beginning of May, I will be spending at least one week in the City of Orange, for work. You anywhere near there? I'd like to buy you dinner.

I plan on being up that way again anyway, so it is no problem with me. I just hope our steam plant testing gets over with on friday.

Current plans (all plans subject to change until they have occurred, and then still maybe a little bit) are that all four of the Moose clan will attend. Just so you know.
Jeniwren, I hope we might get a chance to see you when you're nearby, too.

I'm not particularly fond of cauliflower, but Superstation is really the only one who can't eat some stuff. Allergies to milk, peas (probably all legumes), and egg whites.
Speaking of which, we were wondering if you could either (a) direct us to a place where we can get kosher meat, or (b) purchase some we could then buy from you. We've been told there's some sort of national shortage on kosher products (though that might just be Hebrew National, which is the only kosher brand of anything our regular grocery store carries), and we can't get anything but hot dogs. We'd like to throw a better variety of stuff to our little one, but it seems that every lunchmeat-type thing out there has milk products of some sort.
