And I went out with her tonight (Yes, the perfect woman mentioned a couple weeks ago). I can't remember a more fun, enjoyable date. And, for the first time in my life, I danced with a girl who put her head on my shoulder (I can only assume that that means she likes me). And wow, it was nice. I am...very very happy.

Awww! She's at least very comfortable with you if she put her head on your shoulder. I hope it works out for you without more heartbreak. (((hugs)))

Yeah, but if you could have seen the smile on my face when that happened. Wow. And it wasn't just the head on shoulder thing. We did the kind of dancing that is effectively just a hug with steps and rhythm. I'm still giddy over it all right now. I have never had a more natural time with a girl before. I'm loving it.

Yeah, that's how I felt the first time I met my husband-- and I'd been writing and talking to him for 9 months!

You know, that's still how I feel with Fahim. He's the most comfortable person for me who I've ever met. I can be completely myself all of the time with him. It's great. Boris, moral of the story? Comfortable good.

Comfortable very good. I was so tired that first night, I fell asleep on the couch talking to my beloved ( , I know. ) I would not have done that with any man I did not trust completely. (I have some trust issues; it's a long story going back to my rebellious teenage years. I got him worse than he got me, though, so there.) But my subconscious was telling me something.

Congrats Boris! That feeling of giddiness is a wonderful thing. I still remember driving home after my first kiss with my future wife. I was so stoked that I stuck my head out of the window and howled at the moon.

I have some serious problems with the label "perfect." She might be perfect for you, but given this is your first date I don't think you can say that definitively either. Why not say she's awesome, unbelievable, or super-cool? Or all of those? They aren't over the top but I'm confident you'd also find them to be accurate.
Having said that, it's great that you had such a wonderful time.

There is nothing like falling in love. Well there is your first lap dance, and the first time you win a sectional tourney, and the first time you eat Baskin's and Robin's double chocolate chocolate chunk....
But apart from that there is very little like falling in love. I was always a sucker for the head on the shoulder. Find out if she scratches backs before you decide, it may be important!

Twinky's right; besides, Annie's the only perfect woman.

Are you joking or retarded?

That said, he was joking, and I agree with twinky. Nobody's perfect, and setting someone up in your mind as perfect is a great way to end up disappointed when they turn out to be human, after all.

Oh, I know she's not perfect, but she's (so far) exactly what I've been looking for. The list of things we both enjoy is begining to get very very long. And I don't hold any illusions that I'm the only guy here that's after her (I know one of the other guys). Or that I'm the only guy she's got some interest in. But I do know that I'm probably the only one with the "Man, he can dance" trump card
edit: Hey Hobbes, just thought I'd mention. We did the rumba for several dances

Actually, no. We went to play pool at a local billiard plaza. However, it just so happened that the owner had decided to expand and add on a dancing area with a live country band, and it was the first night they were actually playing for people to dance. So we decided to do some dancing while we were there.
