I can't put my foot any lower than my knee or the blood pressure becomes too great. If that happens, my foot feels like it's either on fire or about to explode...it hurts so much it's hard to tell which.
The burn is about 2 inches diameter, not exactly round, and the blister popped (read: the baby fell on it) last night.
Couldn't somebody just come over with a hatchet and take care of this for me?
(Sorry, old family joke. When one of us would complain about something hurting, Daddy would offer to go get his hatchet. Ie: "My head hurts." "I can go get the hatchet and take care of that for you.")

My parents used to offer to cut off my foot when I stubbed my toe. The first time I offered to cut my husband's leg off when he bumped his knee (in my in-laws' hearing), everyone looked at me really strangely.
I offered to amputate dkw's leg today after she slipped and bruised/scraped her knee badly.
My brother and I have also used the "tape and aspirin to it" line to handle most external injuries. It's good for a laugh the first 2 or 3 times you hear it.
