After I got to sleep last night, I woke up crying from this bizarre and both physically/emotionally painful dream.

Apparently, I was a young teen. Reading in bed. (My current home, my current bed - not home and bed from the past.) My father (adoptive, the one that raised me, not my biological dad - the one that is referred to in other places as the Grampa Nathan still misses) and Grammy (yes - that Grammy of the poor driving skills) were in my kitchen.

As a teen, I was not allowed to read in bed at bedtime, so I was clearly being disobedient. Therefore, when they came to "check" on me, I heard them coming and hastily laid my head down and pretended to have fallen asleep reading.

Grammy removed my glasses and went off. Dad started poking/pushing me in the back, on my spine, right above my heart - and it HURT, really really badly. In my dream I looked up at him, begining to cry (my face in my dream to me reminded me of how Nathan looks when he crumples up and cries) asking him how he could hurt me so?

At this point the physical pain is actually waking me up, but the last scene I remember is him trying to say he's sorry and will I ever forgive him? and I woke up actually speaking these words aloud and crying, "You broke my heart - why?"

No wonder I have insomnia. Whe in h*** wants to sleep with this crap going on in their dreams?

Ouch, sorry Shan.

Not to pry, but have you had a physical recently?

((Shan))

Isn't it amazing how our parents can still push our buttons. Tell Nathan to give you a super big hug for me. [Smile]

*and NO hiking!*

*hug*

I am sorry. Shadows are everywhere; sometimes you notice them more than other times.

I'm sorry. I can see where that would contribute to your insomnia. It sounds to me like maybe your subconcious mind is working on some thing????

Ouch. Sounds painful. You ever see “Saving Private Ryan”? You remember the scene where the two guys wrestle over the knife and eventually the German pushes it through the other guys heart? Well, I guess I couldn’t imagine doing that to another person and I also wasn’t sure how you could force a knife through the bone with him pushing back. Yeah yeah, thought about it to much. But anyway, I relived it in a dream over and over and played both parts. Being the pusher and the receiver. Gives me the willies anytime I think about it.
