One day post-op... and I read the 20/20 line! And I found out that the difference in the colors I see from one eye to the other are due to the smokey haze of the cataract being gone. They do the left eye Tuesday.

Yay! Uh oh. That means you'll be able to see what we really look like? (runs off to the gym)

I'm so glad. Can we now go back to placing stumbing blocks in your path?

I still can't focus much up close, but he says that is because of my corneal swelling, which should go down over the next few days. I'll probably need reading glasses, though. Anyway, it was so cool... he put the big lens-switcher glasses in front of me, and flipped lenses around. When we had arrived at the place where I could see the best, he pulled them back a bit and said, "You know what power lens that is?" "No." In answer, he stuck his finger through the empty hole. Then he cautioned me not to be disappointed if my vision wasn't this good as fast in the other eye.
