Another one in the series Currently, what are you currently eating? What did you have for lunch? What do you WISH you were eating?

I had Tina's Red Hot Beef Burrito for dinner accompanied with Arizona Green Tea and Granny Goose Blazin' Hot Cheese Nibbles.

I'm eating Sour Cream and Onion Lays.

I had a double-dipped beef dip with coleslaw and a lemonade from Philippe's for dinner, followed by the yummiest apple tart ever at the bakery we met Rivka at for dessert.

Now I'm snacking. *hangs head*

I've had desert. But at some point I should get around to supper . . . meanwhile, I'm also having potato chips (must be something about eating that much sugar, eh kq?)

Oh, and recipe for Tarte Tatin. Just in case you want to make one yourself.

Modified Pad Thai - Thai rice noodles with loads of stir-fried veggies (onions, carrots, Chinese cabbage, hot chillis), all spiced up with lime squeezed on top. And Coconut Curried Seerfish.

Yum. [Big Grin]

Mmmm, yum! Although I will probably borrow the gadget my grandma has that clamps onto a table or counter and peels and cores your apples as you turn a crank for that.

If you don't mind the apple peels, it comes out just fine with them intact.

Ah, yes, one huge benefit of being near my dad again: when I absolutely can't sleep from the coughing and regular syrup doesn't work, he runs me by some cough syrup with codeine. Works every time.

Tape yourself trying to sleep and coughing incessantly. Bring it in and dump it on their desk. Say, "This is what I had to suffer because you don't have anyone there at night!"

The overdramatic gesture is guaranteed to make you feel evilly better. [Wink]

Quite possibly, although I'm inclined to think it's two related fronts.

I'm doing the early morning last-prep work for a presentation today. This meant Denny's (only thing open at 4am) for part of a meat lover's plate (yes to bacon, scrambled eggs, and hashbrowns -- with Heinz [Wink] -- but no to the sausage and ham).

Hot tea there and iced tea here, now, at Starbuck's (opens at 5:30am). Pretty buzzed on caffeine, fat, and protein. Ohhhh, yeah.

A carrot cake Harvest Power Bar. Not a flavor I will buy again.

For lunch I will be eating tuna salad or cafeteria food, whichever sounds better.

For dinner, I am working the concession stand and the football game so it will be nachos. MMMMMmmmmm LOVE that fake cheese!

*edit* added the D on fooD, since eating cafeteria foo sounds awful! [Smile]

For dinner last night, I had a Lean Cuisine Pepperoni Pizza. Fairly tasty and with little fat and few calories. Good stuff. I haven't really had anything since then. Lunch will be in an hour or so, but it may consist of a peanut butter and jelly sandwich.

Currently eating a bowl of Rice Krispies; about to have sourdough toast.

Oh, and KQ, those clouds you had that thundered and rained on you last night? They're up here in Fresno now. No rain or thunder here yet, but according to the weather guy on the local news we're just not under the right cloud yet, because other local areas have been getting it.

Homemade whole wheat bread with peanut butter (Jif!) and homemade prickly pear jelly.

A typical breakfast for me, assuming that I didn't slack off on making bread the day before.

ham and provolone on toasted wheat bread. Too bad I toasted the bread 4 hours ago. [Smile] Oh well, still good.

My dessert for these bag lunches has been little debbie's oatmeal cream pies for the last three weeks. I think it's time to switch it up. [Smile]

Egyptian kushery. Good stuff, except that I got distracted and accidently overcooked it [Frown] . It's lentils, rice, and pasta, seasoned with garlic, cumin, and onion, with cayenne rice vinegar poured over. Yum.

I hope it'll be peanuts soon enough, but right now I'm trying not to talk too much. It's not a cold, but rather the remnants of a big weekend screaming at a football game.

What? It's not my fault I've not been to a game since January! I'm a bit out of practice! And if I'm able to speak at all next week, it'll be a miracle.
