In honor of the upcoming movie:


Silent, swift, glowing
Flitting between the planets
Serenity flies.

Leader of rebels,
He is broken deep inside.
Bad, in the Latin.

Second in command,
Loyal, devoted, and true
Beware her pinky.

Now he sees the stars,
Met the woman of his dreams
Flight school was worth it.

Bubbly and friendly,
And when it comes to engines
She bested Bester.

Muscles, thuggery.
He is Vera dangerous.
A hero, to some.

Grace and elegance,
She’s a woman of repute
On this firefly.

To save his sister,
He destroyed the life he had.
He found her broken.

No one yet can see
The method in her madness.
The damage runs deep

He preaches the truth,
But he is not who he seems.
That ain’t a shepherd.

In the quiet dark,
She shelters nine from the cold.
Peace be unto them.

I love it! I love the way you wove lines from the show into the poem. My only question is why did you put the stanzas in this particular order? "That ain't a shepherd" seems like awfully abrupt way to end the list bit of the poem, is all.
