To be fair, it will be directed by Hayao Miyazaki's son Goro. It is his debut. But if any studio can do Earthsea justice, it is the same studio that brought us Spirited Away, Castle in the Sky, Kiki's Delivery Service, Howl's Moving Castle, and My Neighbor Totoro!

Since Ged (if that is him) looks pretty caucasian in the picture, I'm wondering is Ursula LeGuin will pull out her "Earthsea in Clorox" essay again.

Yeha, why can't he be black...or at least asian? I am white. I like who I am, but caucasion characters always ruin anime for me. The soldier in FF the movie just killed it.
But still....it has to be good. That studio has done no wrong and they are working with my favorite book.
